Are you missing out on your £400 Energy Bill Support?

Important information for energy customers with pre-payment meter

Every household with an electricity bill is eligible for a £400 non-repayable discount to help with the cost of energy this winter.

The discount is automatic.  If you get a message asking for your bank details, this could be a scam.

The discount will be applied to your monthly household electricity bill for 6 months starting in October 2022. You’ll get:

  • £66 in October and November
  • £67 in December, January, February and March

If you pay by direct debit, or monthly or quarterly bills, the discount will be applied to your bill, or paid to you by direct debit.

If you have a traditional pre-payment meter, you will be sent your discount as a voucher in the first week of each month.  Most customers will receive their voucher by post, but it could also be sent by text or email.

You should redeem your voucher at your usual top-up point, which will be either a shop with PayPoint or a Post Office branch.  The vouchers are only valid for 90 days, so it is important to use them as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out.

If you have a smart prepayment meter (you top up via an app), your discount will be credited directly to your meter in the first week of each month.
