Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  1. There are some links that don’t make sense out of context. For example, two ‘click here’ links are present on the Warmer homes programme page. Users who use screen readers may not fully understand what each link is for. This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 2.4.4 (Link Purpose – In Context).
  2. Some documents that have been uploaded to the website may not be fully accessible. This means that users accessing the website on screen readers might have trouble reading these documents.
  3. Some of the non-text content doesn’t have appropriate alt text, such as the two charts on the Landlord responsibilities page. Screen reader users may not be able to access the information conveyed by the charts. This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.1.1 – Non-text Content.

Our website developers and content editors identified the above issues during the most recent accessibility audit. We are aiming to fix the above issues in six months. We are continuing to audit and improve accessibility across the rest of the website.
